World of Work Products

In the spirit of contributing to the success of other non-profits, L-OMA Buckwheat Pillows is happy to include the World of Work affiliate products on our web site.

The World of Work (WOW) program at Sacopee Valley High School provides a hands-on, integrated learning approach for students with special needs.  The program offers vocational training for our students in career exploration, vocational instruction and life skills opportunities.  Depending upon individuals needs, and interests, some students have participated in any number of vocational experiences in and out of the classroom.

Currently the staff and students in the WOW program create, market and sell products in the school and local community.  Several of our the popular products include beef jerky, pinecone wreaths, hot pepper jelly, aprons and rustic garden furniture.  Other products include gifts in a jar, dips in a cone, beaded jewelry, book baubles and beaded cup covers.

Proceeds generated from the sale of the World of Work products are donated to local and global charities and are used to support the development of future products.  The WOW program has donated funds to local families in need, sponsored participants in charity walks and races, shipped numerous packages to Iraq for children and soldiers.  They have also donated to United Nations Foundation life saving Bed Nets charity.

The program focuses on building self-esteem in our students while allowing them to give back to the community.  The WOW program greatly appreciates the support received from the community.

If you have questions about the program or products feel free to call Sacopee Valley High School at 207 625 3208 for more information.
